Work Experience, Art Education, Games & Sports
To explore the hidden talents and to encourage the children to sprout out, OP Jindal Modern School has a large variety of subjects as a part of Art Education and Work Experience. The subjects include music-vocal and instrumental, dance-folk, classical and western, a variety of indoor as well as outdoor games, art and craft. Aesthetically designed dance and music rooms provide an adequate thrust to the cultural drive of the students.

A well-maintained Activity Block provides the requisite extra curricular blend in the pursuit of learning. Sprawling grounds invite students to ease the rush of blood in field and track through athletic and different team activities. Provision for training in different games is made available through expert coaching. A team of permanently employed competent Physical Education instructors helps tune the children into various physical education activities.

NCC

The school has junior NCC Air Wing and a number of NCC related activities are carried out inside and outside the school. NCC cadets are sent for annual training camps. A Short Range within the school campus enables cadets to carry out shooting exercise.
NCC cadets have undergone the most sensational experience of learning the techniques of parasailing, paragliding, flying in micro light aircraft and firing by .22 rifle. They have also attended the traffic control sessions, blood donation camp and have been a part of various socially relevant issues.

SCHOOL FUNCTIONS

School functions are an integral part of school curriculum. Several functions are held every year. These functions include Annual Prize Distribution, Annual Sports Day, Investiture Ceremony, Founder Father's Birthday, Republic Day, Independence Day, Teacher's Day, Children's Day, School Exhibition, School Fete etc. A rich flavor of music, dance and orchestra are the highlights of our functions. School exhibition unfolds the potential of the school. It helps the students to imbibe the value of hard work and become aware of one's own creativity. The spirit of 'I can do' channelizes one's energies and helps one to set a goal in life. The school appears as a colourful mini museum conceiving all sorts of variety in itself. These school functions manifest practical implication of knowledge and provide a suitable platform to the students to prove their latent talents.

TOURS/EXCURSIONS/TREKKING/PICNICS/LOCAL VISITS

To hone the skills of learning through traveling, a comprehensive schedule for tours/treks etc. is planned for the students every year. This not only helps the students learn things in an easier, lasting and lucid manner but it also provides them with an opportunity of self-management. Tours, Treks excursions are regularly organized at Jindal Modern School. Further, to give the students a first hand information, local visits to working sites viz. telephone exchange, post office, hospital, HAU, GJU, Army Cantt., Industries are also carried out. Such visits not only educate the students but also provide a healthy and welcome change from the monotony of the school routine.

CLUBS

Literary, Subject and Cultural Clubs are integrated features of OP Jindal Modern School composition. The clubs provide a platform where the students can voice their thoughts, overcome their stage phobia and air their views freely. Special emphasis is laid on giving wings to their imagination, cultivate their originality and develop their skills.
Such exposure leads to broadened thoughts and generates a civilizing interest in the lives of the children. The clubs have student office bearers while teacher co-ordinators/moderators facilitate the functioning of the clubs.

THE SCHOOL PUBLICATION

OP Jindal Modern School releases an Annual School Magazine 'SPANDAN'. It provides the students an opportunity to pen down their feelings and is a showcase of the enormous creativity and latent talent of our diligents. It gives a picturesque view of the activities and happenings of the school.
