Performance by the Special Wing
OPJMS has been running a special education wing since March 2007 for mentally challenged and developmentally delayed children. Their curriculum has been specially designed to meet the unique requirements of differently abled children with the help of special materials, equipments, individualized instruction and other facilities that are required to rehabilitate them.
The Special Wing students are a part of the School curriculum. Their participation in all important functions such as Annual Day, Republic Day, Independence Day and the sports meet is made mandatory to include these children in the mainstream so that they may hold aloft their heads with pride and self respect. The play was a poignant presentation of their unvoiced feelings , intense emotions, unquenched desires and cherished dreams to mesmerize the world with their miraculous achievements. The play epitomized their unbounded enthusiasm to explore the world around them and create or discover things to prove their mettle. The play beautifully depicted the relentless endeavours and undaunting courage of these children to carve a niche for themselves in the society. The play also portrayed their untiring quest for self identity, recognition, self reliance and respect. Through the medium of their impeccable performance, they appealed all for support, cooperation, love and understanding. Their remarkable performance bears a testimony to the fact that these differently abled children have latent knacks/talents that are needed to be explored and brought to the fore by persistent efforts of teachers and parents both. They are also capable of succeeding in varied fields and by widening their horizons can lead a normal and happy life. In the play, a specially abled student is shown to have made a significant discovery in the field of computers that would open up luminous portals of progress for humanity/human beings. The performance left an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience and drew generous applause from them.

The refurbished environs of OPJMS vibrated with the spirit of revelry and exuberance as the school celebrated its annual prize distribution ceremony to acknowledge the arduous endeavours of its students.Major General A.K.Mehta, GOC, 33rd Army Division graced the occasion by having consented to be the chief guest of the momentous ceremony. The programme began ceremonially with the presentation of a bouquet followed by lighting of the lamp by him. Amidst poised ethos, a welcome address by the principal Mr. Julian Egbert was a warm reception for all. Marking the outstanding achievements of the students in academics, sports and co-curricular activities, school reports were presented by Mrs. S.S. Chauhan, the Vice principal and Mrs. Anjana, the Headmistress of the school respectively.
Manifesting unflappable determination and unequivocal conviction, the unheralded heroes-the specially abled children mesmerized the audience with their impeccable performance in the musical play titled ’Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ which epitomized their intense feelings, inhibitions and unquenched desire for recognition and love.
Invigorating the students and bolstering their confidence , the Chief guest, applauded and felicitated the crowning glories of OPJMS by giving away prizes in academics, sports and co-curricular activities to them.
Unleashing a trail of frolic, festivity and excitement, the scintillating evening radiated vibrance as the special attraction -the play-The little Mermaid was presented by tiny tots. The tiny tots transported the audience into the real world of sea and gave them a peek into marine life. The magnificent performance enthralled the audience to receive a thunderous applause from them.
As an address to the gathering, Gen. Major A.K. Mehta emphasized on the need of imparting such education to the students that would encourage innovative ideas and inculcate progressive outlook in them. Gen. Major A.K Mehta also appreciated the astounding performance of the blooming flowers and the relentless endeavours of the teachers. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks being proposed to all the reverred guests of the memorable evening.

On 27th November 2009, the coruscated premises of OPJMS pulsated with warmth, grandeur and gaiety weaving an aura to soak all in the spirit of festivity, fervour and excitement as much awaited Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was celebrated by school to felicitate the unrelenting endeavours of its students . Sh. Harmohinder Singh Chatha, the Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly graced the occasion by having consented to be the Chief Guest of the momentous ceremony. The unfazed zeal, vibrance and exhilaration were enhanced further with the gracious visit of the guest of Honour Smt. Savitri Jindal, a social activist and a member of Haryana Legislative Assembly. The programme commenced with the presentation of a bouquet followed by lighting of the lamp by him. In the backdrop of poised ethos, a ceremonial welcome was accorded to the Chief Guest by the School choir. The welcome address by the principal, Mr. Julian Egbert was a warm reception for all. The school reports highlighting the phenomenal achievements of the students in academics, sports and co-curricular activities were presented by Mrs. Chauhan , the Vice principal and Mrs. Anjana Gupta, the Headmistress of the school respectively.
The evening exuded rapture in its purity and thrummed the heartstrings of the audience, when the special attraction of the day-a musical play titled ‘Jeena Isi ka Naam Hai’ was presented by the specially abled children. The play epitomised the intense emotions, feelings, inhibitions and unquenched desires of these children appealing all for support, cooperation and understanding. Their heart rending rendition enchanted the audience , left them dumb founded and received a rich accolade from them.
The holistic view to the ceremony was accorded/ added when the chief guest applauded and felicitated the crowning glories of OPJMS by giving away prizes to them in academics, co-curricular activities and sports.
A trail of flamboyance, excitement and thril culminated in ecstasy with the presentation of the play ’Nai Subah’ by the students. Beaming with zeal and inundating with confidence in their resplendent attires, the students conjured up an Indian village embodying various social evils, taboos and superstitions conveying a moral to all to transform their outlook to rid the Indian society of these rampant evils. The stupendous performance costumes, impeccable dialogue delivery and stage presentation were a magnificent spectacle that drew rich applause from all.
Appreciating the outstanding performance of the students, as an address to the gathering, Mr. Chatha emphasized the need of imparting such education to students that leads to the unhampered development of their innate qualities and sensitize them to the environmental issues confronting the world. By her generous applause of their brilliant performance, Smt. Savitri Jindal motivated the students to strive unabatedly to achieve their goals in her awe inspiring speech. The speech by Smt. Savitri Jindal was followed by the release of 10th issue of the school magazine ‘Spandan’ by her. The celebration drew its last gasp of breath with the vote of thanks being proposed to all the revered guests.
