A visit to I.I.T Roorkee was organized by OPJMS on 22nd March 2010 wherein 21 students of class eleven alongwith Mrs. Kiran Nagpal and Mr. Manmohan got an opportunity to have first hand information on the working of earthquake engineering department and Earth Science Department. They were given valuable information on earthquake resistant buildings. Knowledge on shock table and shake table worth million to check earthquake resistant instruments and Seismometer was also given . This was followed by a visit to the Earth Science department, where they were shown a large collection of fossils and rocks.

The rich resource Library and the students club was also visited. Eventually the group was mesmerized to see the memorable contribution of the swimming pool specially constructed by the students themselves. It was the most enriching experience and the students look forward to many such opportunities in future.
