Independence Day Celebration at O.P. Jindal Modern School, Hisar
O.P. Jindal Modern School, Hisar, celebrated India’s Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with immense enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and a deep sense of national pride. The celebration was graced by Chief Guests Major Gautam Sindhwani and Mrs. Renu Sindhwani, whose presence added distinction and significance to the occasion.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Colonel Gautam Sindhwani, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The school’s NCC cadets then presented an impressive march-past, showcasing impeccable discipline, coordination, and confidence.
The special cultural programme commenced with a patriotic dance performance, which beautifully expressed love for the nation and celebrated the spirit of patriotism. The powerful presentation set a vibrant and emotional tone for the celebrations and was warmly appreciated by the audience.
The programme continued with an inspiring speech by Paromita, who spoke about the significance of Independence Day, the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, and the responsibilities of citizens in a free nation. This was followed by a heartfelt poem recitation by Mriganka and Viraat, which beautifully captured the spirit of love and pride for the motherland.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, students of the Junior and Senior School presented a melodious group songs, creating an atmosphere of unity and togetherness. The celebrations continued with a series of captivating classical and contemporary dance performances, showcasing the students’ talent, creativity, grace, and energy. The performances added vibrancy and cultural richness to the occasion.
A special highlight of the programme was the felicitation of Anupam Ma’am, Seema Vashishtha Ma’am, Dr. Renu, Sanjay Sethi Sir, and Rajkumar Bhaiya in recognition of their dedicated service and valuable contribution to the institution. Their commitment and sincere efforts were appreciated with heartfelt applause from the gathering.
The patriotic spirit reached its emotional peak as everyone joined in singing “Saare Jahan Se Achha,” celebrating the beauty, greatness, and unity of the nation. The collective voices echoed across the school grounds, creating a memorable atmosphere of pride and togetherness.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of sweets. The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices that secured India’s freedom and the responsibility of every citizen to cherish and preserve it.
